Cathy Layton is a retired commercial real estate broker who has lived in Sarasota since 1970. She was a driving force in commencing and completing the Selby Gardens Children’s Rainforest Garden as past Chair of the Board of Trustees of Selby Gardens. She is formerly the Board Chairman of the Bank of Commerce, formerly Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, and served on the Professional Selection Committee for the School Board of Sarasota, the Sarasota County Planning Commission, and the Public Housing Authority for the City of Sarasota.
